Butterfingers

Last night I wandered to the kitchen, carrying my PowerBook, in search of a drink. After locating a bottle of Volvic in the fridge, I decided to head back upstairs – laptop in one hand, water in the other.

Just as I reached the kitchen door, I stopped for a second to adjust my grip on the items. In that moment I dropped them. Both of them. A slow motion scene unfolded in my head as I grasped wildly for… the water. I managed to catch it too!

My laptop? Oh, that landed heavily on its side before falling flat on the Apple logo. Why the hell did I go for the water?

The damage was slightly less than I was expecting, however I’m still not happy. There appears to be some form of crack on the right hand side of the screen and it doesn’t sit level on my desk anymore.

Roll on WWDC.

Aww. Is it that much of an inconvenience, though? Like, do you notice it and is it annoying when you’re working/clicking around?

I intentionally changed my wallpaper to that Aqua blue one, as it has random white streaks and I would hopefully notice it less.

It’s one of those things that when you don’t notice it, it’s fine. As soon as you re-realise that it’s there, you can’t take your eyes off it. So I guess it can be a bit irritating!
