In 2007 I will be replacing all of my current set up with the new technology. When it comes to the set up in my room, I like to have everything just so; it has to look clean, it has to match and it really does have to look good. I have to say that I really do like having all my accessories matching and now I’ll be branching from all silver things to another colour. The whole point of this post begins in January when I’m buying a new iMac 24″ to replace my current desktop PC. The iMac is white.

At some point towards the start of the year I’m going to replace my Nintendo DS for a DS Lite for that extra battery life and brighter screen. The DS Lite comes in either black or white. Next summer I’ll be replacing my laptop for a new MacBook, which comes in black or white. When the new generation of iPods are finally released, I’ll be getting one of those too. If they are based at all on the current models, they will be available in either black or white. I’m also going to be buying an iPod Nano but I think I’ll buy the special (PRODUCT) Red version, though I am very tempted by the black. I’m sure, by now, you can see the trend. I’m just not sure which colour to buy of each.

When it comes down to it, will too much of one colour be too overpowering for one desk? Too much white could look too clinical and I’ve tried to steer away from too much black since that’s all I used to wear when I was younger. Too much of anything is generally a bad thing but when it comes to what you have to work with every single day its nice to have it looking good and have no regrets. I’m not sure about having part black and part white because I’d never be able to choose which items to get in which colour and I’d always wonder whether I should have chosen the other.

So my first question for 2007, black or white?
