Red Just Isn’t My Colour…

As anyone who knows you would tell, I’m not exactly the world’s most leading fashion expert. I have very little ’style’ and don’t really know what is in or out of fashion. Looking in my wardrobe, my clothes tend to be either brown or blue in colour. I do like my labels, I have plenty of Calvin Klein, Animal, Moss Bros, Vans and so forth, however the majority of my clothes are the same two colours. I don’t know if brown has ever been in fashion, so I’m pretty sure I’m not out of fashion.

That’s where red comes in. The members of the Welsh Society here at Exeter University were given the option to buy polo-shirts. I didn’t really think about what colour they’d come in when I paid for it, I thought we may get options later on. So now I have a bright red polo-shirt. I guess it was the logical colour - red being the colour for Wales, the dragon on our flag. I’m just stunned every time I walk passed a mirror; there’s a big difference between the dull and dark shades of brown and blue I tend to go for and this red.

There we are, though! I’m proud to be Welsh, I wear this shirt with pride and I just wish red was my colour.
