Apple TV Updates
In the past, I considered buying one of these. I thought it would make a nice addition to the lounge in my house at Uni. The problem is—without hacks—that 40Gb isn’t enough to house decent content and if you can’t stream anything other than iTunes purchases and a few other file formats then what’s the point?
While it’s not huge news, Apple have announced that they will now offer a 160Gb version of the Apple TV, at $399. That’s only $100 more than the 40Gb edition.

Also, the Apple TV will be able to play YouTube content. Yep, YouTube is coming to an Apple TV near you. It will be live in a few weeks and will be available to all current Apple TV owners through a software update. Cool, huh?

The question is, does a bigger hard-drive and YouTube make this worth buying? The ability for Apple to be able to add cool features like this makes it tempting but really, what can they add bar the ability to play pirated media to make this purchase really worth it? Not that I condone or participate in pirating (Arr!) but it sure would be nice to have this play it back, right?
